Biography 

Colorado Native Anna Clay is a versatile artist and performer specializing in dance, teaching, and choreography. She graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is actively pursuing a career in dance focusing on how human movement is a medium for sensing, understanding, and communicating ideas, feelings, and experiences. 

 

From a young age, Anna trained in ballet, jazz, modern, and contemporary. Within her training, Anna worked with amazing professionals such as Julianne O’Brien, Jennifer Backhaus, Steven Sofia, Wilson Mendieta, Liz Maxwell, Will Johnston, Ido Tadmor, and Charles Maple. Anna’s repertoire includes Paul Taylor’s Esplanade, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Batsheva. She teaches at numerous studios in the Colorado and California area and enjoys fostering a positive and creative environment for her students to explore their artistry and individualism. 

 

When Anna is not performing, teaching, or choreographing she is teaching Pilates. She is mat certified in classical and contemporary Pilates through Synergetic Movement. Fusing her passion for dance, pilates, and education she is excited to motivate her community in personal health and well-being while impacting real people.
